Post Season Requirements

Players earn Post Season eligibility by participating in the Spring regular season and meeting all of the following requirements. Questions should be directed to your District Commissioner.

Residency & Roster
Must reside or attend school within the League/District boundary
Must be rostered on a League's regular season team
Team must play a minimum of 10 scheduled games during the regular season
Participation Minimum
Must participate in 50% of their team's scheduled games
Example: If the team has 14 scheduled games, the player must participate in at least 7 games
Verified by the District Commissioner through the official team scorebook
Age Division Rules
Eligibility is limited to the age division they were rostered in for the regular season
Waivers may be granted to participate in an older division — e.g., a 10U regular season player may request a waiver to compete on the 12U tournament team
"Playing Down" is NOT permitted — regardless of age, a player may not compete in a younger division than they were rostered in
Single Division Teams
Single division teams must have approval from the District Commissioner prior to Post Season participation. Questions concerning player eligibility should be directed to the District Commissioner for clarification.
How Tournament Teams Are Selected

Local leagues determine the process by which their tournament teams are selected. Common selection methods include:

1
Open Tryouts
Players compete for roster spots through skill-based tryouts open to all eligible players
2
Coach's Nominations
Coaching staff nominates players based on performance and contribution throughout the regular season
3
Player Draft
Coaches or league officials select players through a structured draft process
Roster Rules
Leagues with Multiple Teams
Leagues with two or more regular season teams in an age division are limited to 7 players from each regular season roster on the Tournament Team.
Age Division Eligibility
Players may only compete in the age division they were rostered in during the regular season, unless a waiver is granted to move up to an older division.
Commissioner Approval
All eligibility questions and single division team participation must be cleared with the District Commissioner before the Post Season begins.
No Playing Down
Playing Down — competing in a younger age division than a player was rostered in — is strictly NOT permitted under any circumstances.
